The way we were brought up.

Why is it that when you are insulted, you are taught and encouraged to insult the other person back? It happens in schools, it happens at home. They say it’s better to insult each other back verbally than fight physically.

Physical injuries heal, but words uttered never goes away.

Why were we taught to fight insult with insult in a fight between children when you could’ve taught us to not insult each other? That it’s bad and it hurts and it’s not acceptable, because you carry those words into adulthood…

A lot of things taught to children should be changed. That’s the first thing we should challenge to change the future. So they can be more accepting of differences and less oppressive to the other gender.
